Equipment Available for Rent or Purchase

Barricades, barriers, and end treatments are essential components of temporary and permanent traffic control systems. They are designed to guide, restrict, or protect road users and workers in construction zones, detours, and high-risk areas. These devices help manage traffic flow, prevent unauthorized access, and reduce the severity of collisions. Each type serves a specific function and must meet regulatory standards for visibility, durability, and safety performance.

Barricades

Barricades are lightweight, portable devices used to alert and redirect traffic around hazards or restricted areas. Common types include Type I, II, and III barricades, each offering varying levels of visibility and stability. Typically made of plastic or metal and equipped with reflective sheeting, barricades are ideal for short-term use in construction zones, road closures, and pedestrian detours. Their modular design allows for quick deployment and repositioning as site conditions change.

Barriers

Barriers provide a more robust form of traffic separation and protection than barricades. These include concrete barriers (such as Jersey barriers), water-filled barriers, and steel barriers, all designed to prevent vehicle intrusion into work zones or opposing traffic lanes. Barriers are critical for high-speed environments and long-term projects, offering both physical protection and visual guidance. Their use helps reduce crash severity and protect workers and equipment from errant vehicles.

End Treatments

End treatments are safety devices installed at the ends of barriers to absorb impact energy and reduce the risk of injury during a collision. These systems are engineered to decelerate vehicles safely and redirect them away from hazards. End treatments may include crash cushions, impact attenuators, or tapered barrier designs, depending on the site requirements. Proper installation and maintenance of end treatments are vital to ensure they perform effectively in real-world conditions.
